The EU is committed to safeguarding and enhancing Europe's cultural heritage through a number of policies and programmes. The preservation of cultural heritage is one of the overarching objectives of the new Creative Europe Programme 2021 – 2027. The cultural heritage sectors across Europe will benefit from a targeted sectoral approach within the Programme with sector specific funding priortities each year.

This seminar will present an overview of the new Creative Europe Programme 2021 - 2027 with a focus on the supports available to the Heritage Sector. The session will highlight best practice examples in the field of cultural heritage at EU and national level.

Our guest will be Anne Grady, National Cultural Heritage Expert in the European Commission who will give a key note presentation. We will also hear from artists Chelsea Canavan and Deirdre Power who will present their i-Portunus project as well as Iseult Byrne (CEO, Dublin City Council Culture Company) and Gemma Sexton (Head of Visitor Experience, 14 Henrietta St) who will talk about the work of the museum and how it has been recognized at EU level.
