A fund for Local Creative Youth Partnerships is now open for applications as part of the Creative Youth Plan. The fund is open to Education and Training Boards (ETBs), and the focus is on local partnerships. Arts and cultural organisations that wish to play an active role in developing coordinated provision for young people in their area are encouraged to contact their local ETB. Proposals that have been developed with local partners must be submitted by the ETB by 21 September.
Partners might include arts and cultural organisations; local authorities; libraries, Higher Education Institutes, youth and childcare partners, or others that share a commitment to work together to coordinate and develop local provision for children and young people to participate in the arts, culture and creativity.
The fund provides potential to develop out-of-school arts and cultural provision for children and young people and to support creativity across local communities. It also offers potential to foster connections between formal and non-formal education in developing this provision, complementing other initiatives in the Creative Youth plan.
Each ETB can apply for up to €100,000 to support the development of their local partnership. It is anticipated that three ETBs will be awarded support for 2019.
