Exhibition represents one of the biggest displays of Ireland’s architectural talent

Last year, the 16th International Architecture Exhibition - La Biennale di Venezia 2018 was curated by Irish architects Yvonne Farrell and Shelley McNamara. They were the first Irish nationals invited to curate La Biennale di Venezia in its 123 year history.

In 2017, Fishamble set out to find A Play For Ireland with an open call to the country. During 2018, 30 new plays were developed with Fishamble and its partner venues Draíocht, Everyman, Lime Tree Theatre & Belltable, Lyric Theatre, Pavilion Theatre, and Town Hall Theatre. The pilot scheme will allow 500 artists or culture professionals to take part in this experimental programme which will test different durations of mobility for different professional purposes over the course of six months.

The ‘Make a Move’ project objective is to contribute to the revitalization of European theatre by mobilizing the unutilized creative and innovative potential of non-institutionalised and independent theatre practices, such as physical theatre, corporeal mime and improvisational theatre.

A Woman’s Work is a project that uses photography and digital media to address that deficit through artistic collaboration and exchange across borders, and the co-production of exhibitions, publications and online resources that challenge the dominant view of gender and industry in Europe.
