
Culture Programme info day – Videos and presentations now online
If you were unable to attend the Culture Programme info day in Brussels last month, or indeed if you attended but wish to review the information presented on the day all the presentations and videos are now available online at:
The info day, which was faciliated by the European Commission's Executive Agency for Education, Audiovisual and Culture covered all aspects of the Culture Programme, from a general overview of the programme and its aims and objectives to specialised workshops which focused on specific funding strands.
In one or two clicks you will find full length videos of the entire conference. These are now freely available in high quality streaming. Through these videos you can relive the conference and see both the operational procedures behind the EU Culture Programme and the many ways of receiving funding for projects.

The selection results for Literary Translations 2010 (strand 1.2.2)
The selection results for Support for Literary Translations 2010 (strand 1.2.2) have been published by the EACEA
EU support for literary translation is aimed at enhancing knowledge of the literature and literary heritage of fellow Europeans by way of promoting the circulation of literary works between countries. Publishing houses are awarded grants for translations and publication of works of fiction from one European language into another European language.
From an Irish perspective €16,790 has been awarded to Cork Women’s Poetry Circle Ltd. under the auspices of Tigh Fili in Cork to translate the poems of Manuel Arana Adolescencia dos: poemas Hormonados from Spanish into English

Dance Research Ireland
Dance Research Forum Ireland’s 3rd International Conference will take place at Firkin Crane, Cork, from 24 - 27 June 2010. The title this year is: Capturing Composition: Improvisation in Dance Research and Practice.
As part of this conference, DRFI will be holding a Dance Expo for organisations and institutions involved in Dance Research, Education, Production and Advocacy. This will be a wonderful opportunity to promote your work to the 60+ international delegates attending the conference.
