Close Encounter: Meetings with Remarkable Buildings returns home from the Venice Biennale to tour Ireland

Last year, the 16th International Architecture Exhibition - La Biennale di Venezia 2018 was curated by Irish architects Yvonne Farrell and Shelley McNamara. They were the first Irish nationals invited to curate La Biennale di Venezia in its 123 year history. As part of this major event, 16 Irish architect teams were invited to reimagine iconic works by international architects from the 20th Century.

Culture Ireland and the Arts Council announce Open Call for Expressions of Interest for the 17th International Architecture Exhibition Venice, La Biennale di Venezia, 2020.

Culture Ireland and the Arts Council are seeking compelling, ambitious and exciting proposals to represent Ireland at the world’s leading architecture exhibition.

Ireland at Venice is Ireland’s national exhibition. It is led by Culture Ireland in partnership with the Arts Council/An Chomhairle Ealaíon.

Film Artist in Residence (Screenwriter) University College Cork 2019-2020

Applications are invited from film artists of distinction for the above role, jointly funded by the Arts Council and University College Cork.

The Film Artist in Residence, based in the School of Film, Music and Theatre, is designed to provide a screenwriter with a unique opportunity to develop his/her practice in a university environment while offering students of film and screen media the opportunity to engage with a practising artist in a meaningful way during the course of their studies.

Music Generation – Head of Quality, Support and Development

Established in 2010, Music Generation’s ambition is to transform the lives of children and young people through local access to high-quality, subsidised performance music education.

 

To enable Music Generation to reach its next stage of development, the National Development Office is now seeking to appoint a Head of Quality, Support and Development. This new senior role within the organisation will be key in the implementation of Music Generation’s Strategic Plan during a significant period of growth, planned from 2019 to 2022.
