Call for applications: Writer in Residence positions in Irish universities in 2021

The Arts Council has a long-standing partnership with a number of Irish universities offering Writer-in-Residence/Fellowship positions to provide university students of Creative Writing MA and MFA programmes with an opportunity to work with and learn from a professional author of distinction, and to enable writers to develop their work while in a position of relative financial stability.

Festivals team to host two virtual clinics for the Capacity Building Support Scheme in October 2020

Each clinic will take approximately 1 hour and will combine a presentation followed by a brief Q&A. Clinics will take place on Wednesday 7th & Friday 9th October from 2-3pm.

Research consultants appointed for Culture Night

Following a successful Culture Night which generated a national shared night of cultural experiences, the Arts Council is now entering a research phase to help inform Culture Nights of the future.

The Arts Council is delighted to confirm that consultants Janice McAdam, Heather Maitland and Annette Nugent have been appointed to carry out an evidence review, research and consultation on Culture Night on behalf of the Arts Council and its partner stakeholders.
