County Sligo Youth Theatre seeks youth theatre director

The full time position is being offered on an initial contract for services basis for a three-year period, with annual renewal based on availability of funding.
County Sligo Youth Theatre is seeking a dynamic and experienced Youth Theatre Director to facilitate a programme of drama/ theatre workshops; to produce at least one annual County Sligo Youth Theatre production; co-ordinate and manage all activities in relation to the youth theatre including the development and implementation of policies and procedures; provide leadership and strategic direction in relation in furthering the artistic vision of the youth theatre.
The closing date for applications is 6 July 2009. Shortlisted candidates are likely to be called for interview during the week of 13 July, 2009.

Call for entries for David Manley Emerging Entrepreneur Awards
Business to Arts, is calling all arts entrepreneurs who have been in business for 3 years or less to consider entering this year's David Manley Emerging Entrepreneur Awards.
The prize fund available includes a cash prize, and a year of mentoring from a range of top-level businesses in all areas of business. Previous winners in the arts sector, Emergent Events, who run the Street Performance World Championships, have gone from strength to strength on the investment of time they received from the sponsors.
The winners of the David Manley Emerging Entrepreneur Awards 2009 win a substantial range of prizes - €10,000 prize in cash, and mentoring and services to the value of about €90,000 from top companies.
Closing date for entries is 18 September 2009. The awards will be presented in January.
