Save the date Thursday 17 December 2015 – Focus on Audiences


Arts Audiences is delighted to announce that Focus on Audiences 2015 will take place on Thursday, 17 December in Dublin Castle, in the Printworks state- of- the- art conference facility. You can add the date direct from the Arts Audiences calendar to your own calendar by clicking here. This one-day event for arts professionals will be a mixture of presentations of the results of action research projects, technical instruction sessions, and audience development insights. This year’s event will focus closely on new media and its impacts.

Pre application workshops


Arts Audiences is again running pre-application workshops aimed at any organisation or individual who is considering applying for funding under the upcoming Touring and Dissemination of Work Scheme (application window opens November 3, application deadline early December).  The sessions are relevant to those who have applied before, and/or toured before, as well as those who are new to application. They are also for applicants who have developed their ideas, covering the audience portion of their application.  Following two successful webinars this year we will run the second workshop as a pilot webinar to facilitate nationwide access.


  1. November 2, 2pm - 4pm.  Dublin Location, the Abbey Theatre, if you are interested in attending the workshop click here.
  2. November 3, 3pm - 4pm.  Webinar.  From the comfort of your own desk, you will be able to login and participate live in the workshop as well as ask live questions. All who register will receive simple instructions regarding how to join us on the day, click here  to register.



Invitation to tender – online promotion of the arts in Ireland


The Arts Council, through Arts Audiences, is seeking tenders for a study on how the arts should be promoted online details here.  The study will build on work previously published, including “The Arts in Irish Life 2015″ which outlines some of the online behaviour of arts audiences, and non-attenders, as well as referencing potential models in other countries. The closing date for applications is Friday September 25.
