Current funding calls and upcoming deadlines

The delayed calls for proposals for two funding strands under the Culture Sub-programme of Creative Europe - Support for European Cooperation Projects and Support for European Networks have been published.

You can find more information on the Creative Europe Desk Ireland website by following the links below. 

Support for European Cooperation Projects:  Deadline Wednesday 23 Nov 2016 (11am Irish time).  Find more information on cooperation projects funding here, including an overview of the changes to the guidelines in this round.  We have an article with helpful tips for those developing proposals for the Cooperation projects strand too so make sure to read that here.

Irish festival, First Fortnight, is a partner in a European project which successfully secured co-funding support under this strand of Creative Europe.  Read more about their involvement and the First European Arts Festival for Mental Health here.

Support for European Networks:
 Deadline Friday 25 Nov 2016 (11am Irish time).

Opportunities for artists in current Creative Europe supported projects


Artist in Residence Award, Create and UCD Parity Studios in partnership with UCD College of Social Sciences and Law (Ireland)Deadline: 13 Nov

Create and UCD Parity Studios in partnership with UCD College of Social Sciences and Law, has announced a call for an artist in residence.
With the exciting new partnership between UCD Parity Studios and Create, this 2017 residency is further supported through Create’s Collaborative Arts Partnership Programme (CAPP) which is funded by Creative Europe. CAPP’s Residency Programme seeks to explore new models of arts participation and cooperation and encourages exchange of artist’s methodologies and practices in context.  See here for further details.

Irish organisations successful under Creative Europe

Dalkey Archive Press selected for Support for Literary Translation Projects 2016

Creative Europe supports the translation and promotion of European literature. The purpose of this support for literary translation is to enhance knowledge of the literature and literary heritage of fellow Europeans. The translation and promotion of books for which authors have won the EUPL (EU Prize for Literature) are particularly encouraged.


Dalkey Archive Press Ireland were selected for their project 'Internationalising Eastern European Literatures.'  Dalkey Archive Press received €60,000 under this funding strand to support the translation of ten works from the following ten countries: Serbia; Montenegro; Poland; Bulgaria; Slovakia; Croatia; Slovenia; Turkey; Bosnia and Herzegovina; and Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia.
