The European Commission, the European Booksellers Federation (EBF), the European Writers' Council (EWC) and the Federation of European Publishers (FEP) have announced the winning authors of the 2nd annual European Union Prize for Literature at the Frankfurt Book Fair.
The Culture in Motion Conference - 15-16 February 2011 in Brussels
The European Commission is organising its third Culture in Motion Conference, 15-16 February 2011 in Brussels.
A sample of projects funded by the Culture Programme 2007-2013 by the pilot project for Artist Mobility and by other EU programmes, will help show concretely how funding is making a difference at a European level. It will also underline the significant role of culture in creating smart, sustainable and inclusive growth and supporting other EU policies.

Reminder: Public consultation process for the next Culture Programme
The European Commission invites input from cultural operators as part of the development of the next Culture Programme.
The consultation is open to individual citizens, public and private bodies, local/regional authorities, ministries and relevant stakeholders in the field of culture both inside and outside the EU and in the European institutions and associations until 15 December 2010.
Call for proposals from Organisations to work with countries of the Eastern partnership (Ukraine, Moldova, Georgia, Azerbaijan, Armenia, and Belarus)
The European Commission has published a call for proposals providing €15.4 million for strengthening capacities in the cultural sector. The call is issued jointly under the European Commission’s Investing in People programme and the ENPI Eastern Partnership Culture Programme.
