Culture Night, Friday 18 September, 2020 Connecting through Culture

This year, for the first time, the Arts Council takes on the stewardship of Culture Night, now in its 15th year. The programme is a mixture of online, broadcast and in person events and experiences taking place right across the country created with the support of local authorities, arts organisations and artists.

Arts Centre Funding 2021 – Information Sessions

Arts Centre Funding 2021 opened for applications on the 25th of August. The Arts Centre Funding Programme is open only to building-based, professionally managed, multidisciplinary arts organisations that are open to the public all year round. The purpose of Arts Centre Funding is to invest in and support the infrastructure of arts centres required to sustain and develop the arts in Ireland.

Deadline: Arts and Disability Connect scheme round two 2020

The Arts Council and Arts & Disability Ireland are delighted to announce that a second round of funding will be available through the Arts and Disability Connect scheme in 2020.

Designed to support individual artists with disabilities, the Arts and Disability Connect scheme includes New Work, Mentoring and Training awards.

Arts and Disability Connect deadline: Monday 19 October 2020 at 4pm.

Artist in the Community Scheme Bursary

The Arts Council will offer a second Artist in the Community Scheme Bursary Award in 2020

The purpose of the annual Artist in the Community Scheme Bursary Award is to support and nurture professional arts practice. It is specifically aimed at an artist who has a track record of working collaboratively with communities of place or interest. The Bursary Award of €10,000 provides the selected artist with time and resources to carry out research and to reflect on practice. More particularly, the Bursary allows the artist to consider key questions associated with their practice using collaborative methodologies.

New funding opportunity through the Young People Children and Education Project Award

The deadline for the Young People Children and Education Project Award is Thursday 10 September 2020 at 5:30pm. The purpose of the YPCE Project Award is to support artists to develop and deliver ambitious and original projects with and for children and young people. Projects may be interdisciplinary or focused on a specific artform.  The maximum award is €85,000. This award has four strands.
