EU Copyright Law: What does it mean for artists?
Creative Europe Desk Ireland, Culture and MEDIA, with support from the BAI Sectoral Development Fund, will host a free morning information session and networking lunch in Dublin on Friday 9 February 2018. This session is aimed at authors, screenwriters, composers, visual artists, and performers.
The EU copyright legislation is a set of ten directives, which harmonise essential rights of authors and of performers, producers and broadcasters. This legislation is currently working its way through the European Parliament. Once passed, each Member State, including Ireland, will adapt their current copyright laws to reflect the new European legislation.
