The Department of Tourism, Culture and Sport, in partnership with the Arts Council, announces grants for the Visual Artists’ Workspaces Minor Capital Grants 2010.

In the Arts Council’s recent policy on Visual Artists’ Workspaces – A New Approach, capital grants to visual artists’ workspaces were outlined as a priority. Following this the department recognised the extent of legitimate need for capital investment in visual artists’ workspaces.  As a result, grants have been awarded of up to €15,000 to purchase/maintain essential equipment for the benefit of artists and/or to undertake improvements to the quality of the artists’ workspace. The total fund available was €140,000.
