9. Deis decisions: May 2009

Deis is a proposal-based scheme which is aimed at encouraging and facilitating the traditional arts community to seek funding from the Arts Council for a range of projects.

Deis is a new scheme established under the Arts Council's Traditional Arts Initiative, 2005-2008.

There were 11 applications for this round; with 7 awards recommended to the value of €40,000.
