Mapping Your Audience – webinar 25 March 2015 11am to 12 noon.

Mapping Your Audience is a tool developed for the Arts Council by AIRO.  Arts Audiences and the Strategic Development Department have arranged an online instruction session on how to use this resource along with other TGI and online mapping resources. These tools enable you to identify and understand your audiences for your work.

How it works.

The session will take place online, and you will be able to interact with Eoghan McCarthy of AIRO live from your own desktop on Google Hangout. Eoghan will give an outline on how to use “Mapping Your Audience” and related tools, and will answer your questions.

Who is it for?

If you attended the session on the tool at “Focus on Audiences” in December 2014 then this webinar will build on what you learned, and you will be able to ask Eoghan questions in relation to any of the mapping your audience resources available. If you were not there, and you would like to participate, we will be giving an introduction to the tools beforehand. This session will be particularly beneficial to anyone who has venues included in the analysis. Check out if you are there here .

How to sign up.

Click here no later than 5pm Friday March 13. The session is free of charge and we encourage you to ask questions beforehand in the space provided. Detailed instructions on how to join the webinar will be provided to those who have registered in advance of the event.

Touring and Dissemination of Work Scheme, pre - application workshops.

Arts Audiences is running pre-application workshops aimed at any organisation or individual considering applying for funding under the upcoming Touring and Dissemination of Work Scheme (deadline Thursday 7 May at 5.30pm). These workshops are aimed at those who have applied before, and/or toured before, as well as those who are new to the application. The window for applications opens on Tuesday 7 April, and your ideas for touring would ideally be formulated by then and you will be getting ready to make a detailed application. The workshop is for applicants who have developed their ideas, to help with specific areas, and answer questions.

Two workshops will take place in Galway, Wednesday 1 April and in Dublin, Thursday 2 April.

Audience Development Programme – 2015 Production begin.

On 25 February at Irish Times training, nineteen students, from producing organisations North and South, were welcomed to their first day of studies.  Click here to see a report of the day.  All nineteen participants will be awarded a certificate in Management Practice from University of Ulster and will produce audience development plans for their organisations as well as working on their own strategic planning, project management and leadership skills as part of their coursework.

This year for the first time, Arts Audiences has partnered with Audiences NI and six of the nineteen participants are from the North.  We welcome this opportunity to grow relationships between producing organisations on the island of Ireland.  The June module of the course will take place at Ulster University in Belfast, giving further opportunities for networking.

We wish all the students well and congratulate them on committing the time and resources to developing audiences for their organisations.
