Changes have been made to the Artist in the Community Scheme in response to COVID-19.
Research & Development (with and without mentoring) and Project Realisation Awards
In recognition of the severe limitations in place due to physical distancing and the challenges this brings to Project Realisation proposals, applications will be accepted for Research and Development ONLY (both with and without mentoring) in round one.
Proposals that, in particular, consider digital and virtual space as a valid and essential arena for collaborative artistic endeavour are welcome. Proposals may, but are not required to, explore collaborative arts practice in a time of pandemic and physical distancing.
Research and Development amounts will increase, for this round only, in light of the difficulties posed for artists in the current crisis. Full details of these changes are available on https://www.create-ireland.ie/projectsubpage/aic-awards/
The closing date for Round One has been extended to Monday 27 April 2020.
Round two will be accepting applications for both Research and Development Awards and Project Realisation Awards.
The deadline for round two has changed from Monday 21 September to Monday 27 July 2020
All award amounts revert as normal in round two.
Create and Fire Station Artists’ Studios Artist Residency Award
Due to COVID-19, it is not possible to co-host the Create and Fire Station Artists’ Studios Artist Residency Award in June as planned and therefore alternative dates are being explored. Updates will be announced on https://www.create-ireland.ie/projectsubpage/aic-awards/
Summer School on Collaborative Arts and Cultural Diversity
New dates in the Autumn are being explored to host the Summer School on Collaborative Arts and Cultural Diversity.
