The Arts Council wishes to commission an Evidence Review, Research and Consultation for Culture Night to help understand how best it can respond to the future development needs of Culture Night in partnership with its stakeholders.

Culture Night is an annual, all-island public event that celebrates culture, creativity and the arts. This year, for the first time, it is being managed by the Arts Council. Details of this year’s event, which takes place on 18 September, can be seen here. www.culturenight.ie.

The research is intended to review existing evidence about Culture Night, deliver research with stakeholders and members of the public and consult with cultural providers and artists, with the purpose of: explaining the drivers behind Culture Night’s evolution since 2006, understanding its current and potential public value and making recommendations for its future vision and delivery from 2021.

The research should be delivered by April 2021. The budget range is €25,000 to €30,000 (inclusive of expenses and exclusive of VAT in providing the required services).
