Information Clinic on Authored Works and Reel Art 2018

As part of its new film policy, the Arts Council is introducing a new film initiative, Authored Works, to support the making of artist-led authored films for cinema exhibition. In addition, the Arts Council’s long-running arts documentary award, Reel Art, sees an increase in its budget. Prospective applicants for both of these awards will be invited to attend an information session in Dublin in September. Further details will be posted on the Arts Council’s website, on social media and in our September newsletter.

This September, Laureate for Irish Fiction Sebastian Barry will deliver his first annual lecture entitled The Lives of the Saints.

New sources of funding under Project 2040, the government’s capital development scheme.

New sources of funding, which may be of interest to artists, have been announced under Project 2040. The first call for proposals under the Rural Regeneration and Development Fund opened on 4th July 2018. The deadline for the receipt of applications under the first call for proposals is 12 noon on 27th September 2018.

Exit 15 is a partnership between Dún Laoghaire Rathdown County Council, Voluntary Arts Ireland and Queen`s University Belfast and is supported/funded by the Arts Council‘s Invitation to Collaboration Scheme 2017.

Launch of the next phase of the RAISE Private Investment Capacity Building programme.

In 2012, we launched the RAISE private investment capacity building programme to grow a culture of philanthropy and private giving to the arts in Ireland. The programme was launched to develop the fundraising capability for the chosen arts organisations by delivering the skills and resources to build robust, sustainable organisations.

The Minister for Education, Richard Bruton, is making up to €300,000 available for the pilot to the end of 2019.

17 Irish organisations are partners in new Co-operations projects with Waterford City & Council taking on role as Lead Partner in their project, Murals for Communities.
