In this month's newsletter the Arts Council announces that it is bringing forward the application deadline for its main grants programmes by several weeks. The application window for recurring funding programmes will open on 10 September and will close on 11 October. The Council made the decision in the context of the severe challenges for public funding, to assist arts organisations to plan better when faced with reductions in funding; decisions will be communicated by the end of 2012. You can read more information here.
The Arts Council is calling for expressions of interest for RAISE, a pilot scheme designed to help eight arts organisations plan, build and implement an ambitions fundraising programme.
The Arts Council also introduces its new literature scheme, Title by Title, designed to assist Irish publishers in the production of high quality literary publications. We show how the young people from youth arts groups who were awarded funding through the Arts Council's Young Ensembles Scheme (YES) 2011 participated in the showcase and networking event which took place in Sligo, in March. You can view a short video of the event here.
We are delighted to announce that Culture Ireland is inviting expressions of interest for commissioner for Ireland at the 54th Venice Art Biennale 2013.
