Words Ireland Literature Conference – 19 May
Chocolat author, Joanne Harris, will deliver a keynote speech at Words Ireland’s first national literature conference on 19 May at the National Library of Ireland. Addressing an audience of festival directors and event programmers, Harris will share her experience of treatment and payment at literature festivals and events.
Words Ireland hopes to get the industry's stakeholders together to begin a conversation on best practice in putting on events, and to discuss the challenges and opportunities facing festivals and event producers. Prominent authors, programmers and industry professionals will be joined by funding and support organizations in a series of panel discussions.
The conference is ideally suited to festival directors, event programmers, publishers and bookshop managers, or anyone who engages authors for literary events.
Tickets for the day-long conference cost just €20. For more visit here.
