Tradition Now 2019 at the National Concert Hall presented in partnership with The Arts Council
Tradition Now, the National Concert Hall’s traditional music series takes a unique look at the evolution of traditional music and provides a platform for forward-thinking musicians. This year’s series sees performances by Irish and International artists such as singer/songwriter Lisa O’Neill, musicians Catherine Ennis, Steve Cooney, Sam Amidon and a dedicated programme for children and young people with Kíla and Ceol Connected from 1st to 6th October.

Date for the diary - Festival Conference 2020
As part of the Arts Council’s policy commitment to support festival organisations to build their capacity, the Arts Council announces a new festival conference initiative to take place in 2020. The one day conference will provide information, and networking opportunities for all festivals across Ireland.

Scoileanna Ildánacha/Creative Schools: Another 150 new schools announced
150 new schools across Ireland will participate in the Creative Schools initiative in 2019-20. They will join the 150 schools from 2018 who are continuing on their journey for a second year in 2019-20. The range of schools includes primary, secondary, Youthreach centres, special schools, DEIS, rural, urban and Irish-language medium schools.

Creative Schools National Celebration Events
A national celebration of the arts and creativity in schools will take place in November 2019 at schools and venues across the country. Children and young people will have the opportunity to showcase their experiences of the arts and creative learning through their involvement in the Creative Schools initiative.
