Checking in with 2017 Cooperation Project Here in Ireland

As the Creative Europe Desk Ireland – Culture Office looks towards the upcoming deadline for Cooperation Projects on the 18 January 2018 we would like to take a moment to check in with some two projects funded under the 2017 call.

The National Print Museum was successful as a co-partner with their project Creative Makers: Kids’ Fablabs for Letterpress and Printing. The project runs from 2017 – 2017 and along with Ireland, has European partners from Italy, Estonia and Spain.

Mary Plunkett has been selected as the Irish artist to take part in the project. She is a graphic designer and print maker who is specialised in letterpress printing.

The National Print Museum will host the first Creative Makers workshop this month. You can follow along on the project’s Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/CreativeMakersCream/

Fidget Feet Aerial Dance has been very busy with EU projects in 2017 as they are currently involved in 2 live cooperation projects! They are helping to deliver the School of Spectacle project they are also the Irish partner on the Vertical Dance Forum project.

The Vertical Dance Forum project was funded under the 2017 call for cooperation projects. Fidget Feet is the Irish partner and is working alongside 6 other European partners. The project is a capacity building initiative between professionals across six European countries in the sector, facilitating and increasing international mobility through exchange, networking, reflection and promotion of practice.

The project ran a 4 day Hub Lab Vertical last month in Venice. There were 14 dancers from all over the work with 7 choreographers from the Vertical Dance Forum. The Hub included individual coaching, small workshops and a short conference and with professional vertical dance companies.
