Opportunities with Creative Schools for artists, creative practitioners and educators

Scoileanna Ildánacha/Creative Schools aims to put the arts and creativity at the heart of children and young people’s lives.  It will support schools to develop and begin to implement their own Creative School Plan. Participating schools will work with a Creative Associate (CA) to understand, develop and celebrate their engagement with the arts, empowering them to bring about real change in the way they work.

The Arts Council announces Round 1 of the Festival Investment Scheme 2020 for festivals that commence and take place between January-June 2020. 

Application forms will be available through online services from Tuesday 9th April 2019.

Music Network today welcomed the announcement by Josepha Madigan TD, Minister for Culture, Heritage and the Gaeltacht, confirming funding of €270,250 for the Music Capital Scheme 2019.

Following a competitive tendering process, Trad Ireland / Traid Éireann has appointed Jack Talty to compile a research report examining the challenges, opportunities and supports currently available to traditional arts practitioners in Ireland. This research project was awarded funding from the Arts Council Traditional Arts Project Award 2019.

Promoting Autonomy: Arts + Health Check Up Check In 2019 programme announced

Artsandhealth.ie has just announced the programme for Arts + Health Check Up Check In 2019.  Themed Promoting Autonomy, this leading national arts and health event will feature a keynote address by hospice director, arts advocate, music therapist and author Nigel Hartley, and presentations by some of the most innovative and creative practitioners working in arts and health in Ireland today.  Check Up Check In 2019 takes place on Thursday 11 April at Garter Lane Arts Centre, Waterford and is open to healthcare professionals, arts practitioners and anyone interested in learning more about this exciting field.
