Laureate for Irish Fiction Sebastian Barry is set to appear at the Mountains to Sea Festival on 29 March.

The Arts Council is pleased to announce the successful recipients of its 2018 Authored Works and Reel Art Awards. Donal Foreman is the first film artist to be selected for the new Authored Works award, while Vivienne Dick and Ciara Nic Chormaic are the latest recipients of Reel Art awards.

Aosdána, the affiliation of creative artists in Ireland, will hold its 40^th General Assembly on Friday, 5^th April 2019 in the Aula Maxima of University College Cork.

Scoileanna Ildánacha/Creative Schools aims to put the arts and creativity at the heart of children and young people’s lives.  It will support schools to develop and begin to implement their own Creative School Plan. The Irish Writers Centre is hosting a course all about the business of being a writer including the process of writing applications for bursaries, residencies and retreats, as well as copyright law, contract law and managing your taxes on Sat 23 March from 10.30am – 4.30pm in The Mac, Belfast.

The Irish Writers Centre and Anam Cara Writer's & Artist's Retreat are delighted to partner together to offer two one-week residencies to Irish language writers to allow them time and space to write or develop work in Irish.

The pilot scheme will allow 500 artists or culture professionals to take part in this experimental programme which will test different durations of mobility for different professional purposes over the course of six months.
